About this visa

The Graduate route lets those who have successfully completed an eligible UK qualification stay on to work, or look for work, for a set period after graduating.

It does not require a job offer or sponsor for the route itself, giving graduates time and flexibility to find suitable employment.

It is a valuable bridge from study into skilled work, and many graduates later move onto the Skilled Worker route.

Frequently asked questions

Do most UK visas lead to settlement?
Many do. A number of work and family routes lead to Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after a qualifying period of continuous residence, and ILR can then lead to British citizenship. We plan your visa with settlement in mind from the start.
Do I need a job offer to work in the UK?
For the main Skilled Worker route, yes - you need a job offer from an employer with a sponsor licence. Some routes, such as Global Talent, do not require a job offer. We confirm which route fits you.
How long will my application take?
Processing times vary by visa type and change regularly, and they depend on your documents and personal circumstances. We give you a realistic, up-to-date estimate for your situation and keep you informed while the case is assessed.
Can I include my family?
Many visas let you include a partner and dependent children, either together with your application or by adding them later. We confirm exactly who you can include and prepare their documents alongside yours.
