Labour Agreements and DAMA

Tailored agreements and regional deals for hard-to-fill roles.

Overview

About this visa

Where the standard programs do not fit, a labour agreement or a Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) can allow sponsorship of occupations, or concessions, that are not otherwise available.

These agreements are negotiated arrangements that respond to genuine, ongoing labour needs - by industry, by employer, or by region - and can unlock roles and concessions the mainstream lists exclude.

We assess whether an agreement suits your workforce needs, and help you negotiate and use it to bring in the workers your business genuinely requires.

This may suit you if

  • Standard occupation lists do not cover your roles
  • You operate in a designated regional area
  • You have genuine, ongoing labour needs
  • You want tailored concessions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a job offer before I apply?
For most employer-sponsored visas, yes - the process starts with an approved employer nominating you for a genuine position. We can advise on your options and help both you and your employer meet the requirements.
Can an employer-sponsored visa lead to permanent residency?
Yes. Several temporary work visas are designed as a stepping stone to permanent residency through employer nomination or the regional pathway. We plan the temporary visa with the permanent outcome in mind from day one.
How long will my application take?
Processing times vary by visa type and change regularly, and they depend on your documents and personal circumstances. We give you a realistic, up-to-date estimate for your situation and keep you informed while the case is assessed.
Can I include my family?
Many visas let you include a partner and dependent children, either together with your application or by adding them later. We confirm exactly who you can include and prepare their documents alongside yours.
Do I have to visit your office in Jalandhar?
No. We work with clients across India and around the world. Your case can be handled entirely by phone, email and video call if that is easier for you.
